About

Dennis Mwangi Njoki is a bright, humble and well disciplined student. His parents were divorced when he was a young boy, so he never met his father. After the divorce, his mother went to stay with his grandparents who were peasant farmers. Dennis' grandfather died in 2000 when he was in nursery school. Though Dennis graduated from class eight with good marks, his mother and grandmother could not afford to send him to secondary school. The little that they get from their small piece of land is barely enough to feed and clothe them. He was brought to Agape Mercy Children's Center in February 2009 and was enrolled in form one at St. Basil Secondary School. There, he has done well, ranking third in the class. He hopes to become a doctor - specifically a surgeon - and his favorite food is chapati with beef stew.

Hi Dennis! It is great to hear that you want to be a neuro-surgeon. That is a great goal and I know that you can do it! I hope you do well on your exams.
Dear School Fund,

I have not yet started my National Exams (K.C.S.E) because our school’s subjects are not yet at the time of writing this. I am going to start my exams on Friday 26th October 2012. I am still working hard in order to attain what I desire. Thank you for your concern.

Her mother used Cecilenza to solicit money from people due to her urine leakage. Cecilenza underwent several unsuccessful fistula surgeries including a colostomy before she was rescued by Beyond Fistula for better medical attention and education. Cecilenza would like to be a nurse when she grows up.
