About

Arapha attends Lugalo A-level school. The most difficult experience in my early life was when my mother passed away from the world on June 6, 2014. It caused me to feel sadly because she was the only one who supported me in my life before she died. From the start of my primary school up to O-Level, she worked hard to pay my school fees. When my mother passed away, I had to learn to live with my relatives, especially my grandmothers. In my life, my dream is to become a doctor because only a doctor can treat people who are sick and ill. The way to achieve my goal is to study hard and follow the advice of people who are successful in our life. The moment when I am proud of myself will be after my dream comes true. I want to help children, elders and women who face problems like disease by telling them how to avoid the disease, in order to reduce death among the people. I would like to thank all my donors for helping me to get an education and fulfill my dream. I would like to help other students who are living a hard life and who are in orphanages to reach their goals.

Dear Arapha,

How are you? So glad to know you through The School Fund. What subjects are you taking now? Which grade are you in? I would love to know you more. If you can take me more about yourself, that would be great.

Hi Everyone,

How are you all doing? How is your semester going? Anything exciting to share? As for me, I had a mid-winter sailing regatta in Florida and I won 8th place in the silver fleet. And I had one week spring break at the beginning of April. I also took AP chemistry test on May 1st. It was a little stressful. A few more weeks my school is going to finish. I am looking forward to summer, although I still don't have a clear plan yet. How about you?

Need to get up early tomorrow. Talk to you later. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

All the best wishes,

Anthony

Greetings Arapha!

What a beautiful name you have!

My name is Katie and I live in California in the United States. I am married with two children. My daughter is 7 years old and wants to grow up to a veterinarian (animal doctor) like her daddy. My son is 5 year's old and he loves his sister and riding his bike.

I'd love to learn more about your life. When you wake up in the morning, what do you look forward to doing most each day?

Who in your life brings you joy?

When I wake up in the morning, I look forward to getting exercise and then drinking coffee. My life is busy and I enjoy taking time for myself first thing in the day so I can have energy to help others for the rest of the day.

My husband and my sweet kiddos (that's what we lovingly call children here) bring my so much joy. My big puppy does too!

Hope to hear from you.

Best,

Katie

Dear student,
It has been very long time since last time I wrote to you. I have been out of town attending conferences, doing business and helping with family issues.
I know the new school year began two months ago and I hope you are able to focus on your studies and set goals for yourself. I hope you are doing well this school year.
In your journals I would like to see you are learning, what you like and dislike about the school, your accomplishments, your difficulties your life and your obstacles you face.
I want you to evaluate yourself, what is your strength and weakness, which area do you need to improve yourself. That way I could know who you are and help me to know you better. I wish you have a great year ahead of you and let me know there are anything you need me to help.
Best regards, Judy
Dear Arapha,

Hello, thank you for your interesting journal entries. I want to answer your questions and thank you for your report on enzyme production.

I think my favorite food is chicken and all kinds of fruit. I also like to cook and bake. Two nights ago I made spaghetti sauce, using a can Italian tomato's cut into pieces, and onion sliced up and some butter and let it cook on the stove for 40 minutes, then I boiled some pasta noodles, and put the sauce on top. It was tasty.

Yes we have problems with the homeless and some people who beg in America. We don't have street children, in my country like you do in Tanzania, here we have a set of laws to protect children, any child by themselves or in a group begging would be taken into what is called "protective custody" by a teacher or the police and then they would call "child services" to try to find the parents of the child, or if the child has no parents, then the children would be taken to an orphanage, and later they might be placed in a foster home.

Fort the adult homeless, there are housing shelters. But many of these adults have mental or emotional illnesses, or they are drug addicts, or both. If these adults refuse help there is little that can be done for them. They do not need to starve because religious and charity organizations are all over to feed and clothe the needy, but again only if these people are in the condition to find the help, accept the help, and know that they need help.

Misery is everywhere, poverty is in every country, all a country can do is to try to do the best they can too help their people. A rising income for the people of a country takes years to change living conditions. But when a rising middle class of educated young people enter the job market their lives will change.

You are part of the change Arapha, everyone at The School Fund wants the best future for you and your country.

be well,
Karen

Through smell of the food: through thinking of the food result the brain let to allow secretion of enzyme
Taste of the food it stimulate the receptor of the tongue which initiate the nerve impulse. Nerve impulse transmitted towards the brain for interpretation.
The site of enzyme secretion is secreted by gland located in the epithelium tissue, Epithelium tissue are protective, transportive secretive and supportive in function and they lack blood vessel.

Dear Students,

Happy New Year 2017, congratulations on preparing for your exams and welcome back to school !

Here is a thought to begin the year on;

"As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives".

Henry David Thoreau

be well,
Karen
My dear student,

You have to work hard to get there.

Judy
Hi

How are you guys doing?

I understand the school semester is coming to an end very soon. Have you had a good semester? Are you looking forward to having some time off.

I have not done much since I wrote to you last time. Just the daily routine stuff. One thing I would like to mention is my volunteer work in a animal shelter. Every Monday I go to an animal shelter to take care of some dogs. This shelter has both dogs and cats. Since I am allergic to cats, I limited my work with just dogs. I take them out to walk around the neighborhood and give them many treats. Some of the dogs have been there for quite a while. I feel very bad for them. I wish I can adopt them. But I already have a dog at home. She will not be happy if I bring other dogs home. She does not want to share me with other dogs.

I am leaving for a trip to Antartica in December. I hope it will not be too cold while I am there. I will let you know how it is like there.

Hope you have a good time during your month off.

Until next time,

Indy

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
