Nicolaus attends Kibiti A-level School. It was approximately 10 years ago when I was told by the teacher to go back home for failing to pay the tuition fee. I arrived home and found my mother crying due to my young brother’s serious sickness. I also observed how my parents were unable to take him to the hospital for lack of money. Honestly, it was too hard to tell my parents about the tuition fee that sent me back home from school. I thought if they were unable even to take my young brother to the hospital, how could they afford to give me the tuition fee? Then I secretly told my mother about that issue. She told me to put on my school uniform, take my exercise book, and review what my teacher taught in the last session. I had to wait until they got the money and then they would give it to me. So from this I learned that I have to study very hard in order to reach my dream to revive my house’s standard of living, helping my family and other people. The happiest moment in my life started soon when I was selected as a student to be funded by The School Fund. Honestly this was the very happiest moment because I knew it was the way to help me to reach my dream. This is because I was told that TSF will help me in education, the key of my life, when my parents were not able to afford to pay for my education and learning essentials. To be an engineer is a dream of my life. Every day when I wake up from sleep, I think thoroughly on how I can be an engineer. The only way to be an engineer, I think, is through studying and passing my exams, especially the courses in engineering. Therefore, I will increase effort in studying in order to pass the exams with the best grades so that I will be able to get there. Honestly, after fulfilling my dreams of becoming what I want to be, I plan to give back very greatly to the community of Tanzania and the entire world. This is to for school to be free of cost, maybe colleges as well. In other countries, people study and get education for no cost and education is provided for free as The School Fund does for us.

Hello students,

I finally got back to the US last week.
It has been a very long trip to Tanzania this year total three weeks.

I was very happy to meet all of you and know everyone better.

My trip started from Karatu. I visited 5 schools in Karatu and I learn where do you go to school every day.

I am very happy to know all of you are doing well and every of you has a dream that you want to be successful one day. I encourage all of you to try your best to reach you own destination.

The get together was so well prepared and done by each of you. I am very happy to saw all your science presentations and poems you wrote to TSF and me. I will treasure them all my life.

I can say I am very proud to all of you. Keep up the good work I want to see each of you one day get to
good University/College to reach your own dream.

After Karatu, I went to ARUSHA attended the TED Global conference and visited couple schools in ARUSHA.
I enjoyed the TED conference this year. It was focused on the Africa, specially in agriculture, health and education.

Mr. Amos was a volunteer there, he had great experience being this Global conference and met people from around the world.
He had a life experience at the conference, where he was able to meet a group of bright inventive and talented group of people.

Later I went to Iringa. Iringa almost the second hometown for me. I have been there six times.
I visited all 8 schools in Iringa and meet all of you in person. I was very happy to meet you.

I had a great time at the get together party. All of you did a wonderful presentation. I am very happy to know all of you had fun that night.

My this year Tanzania trip was set MMM computer center for most of the 13 TSF schools.
At Iringa, We build total 5 new computer center in Iringa girls, Klerruu, Lugalo, Ebenezer, Miyomgoni and Update one MMM center at Ummusalama. We build one new computer center at Karatu Secondary School and update one MMM center at Ganako.

I am very proud of building the MMM computer center in most of the TSF schools. I really want all of you to go to the computer center to learn every subject you are interested from the RACHEL PLUS.
In the future everyone work will be on the computer. I hope that every single of you tell me what do you learn from the RACHEL PLUS.
I would like you could to start the debate team in your school so you all could practice how to speak in the public. Have the Math Club and challenge each other on the Math.

They will all benefit your long-term confidence.

Welcome back to school! This is a new semester, it is time for new goals. new ideas and new learning.
At end of last semester, I wrote to you to write to me about the most remarkable or important thing that happened to you during your holiday! I am looking forward to reading your reply when you next write your journal.. Now while I really interested in what are you taking this year what will be your favorite subjects.

Knowledge will give you the power to be known you must read everything you can the more you know the more valuable you will be as a person and to your society.

I am coming to Tanzania at end of August and beginning the September.
I am looking forward to seeing you all.

I am really very happy to hear from you again. Its sure RACHEL PI has been great help to us on the issue of private studies. Personally i have use it effectively for the whole holiday as when i was in need.
I'm really very exciting to tell you that i will also be very glad to see that i will be giving back my appreciations to you and the whole tsf family by helping other people who will be be in need. I will actually do that and that will be among of my smile in kfe as if i will give back to them.

Hello, I am very happy you wrote on the journal and let me know that you are back in town from your first year of the A-level school. Some of you mentioned that you don't get enough study material from the school. I would like you all to use the break go to the MMM center to study the RACHEL PI. It has all the study materials you need for your life. Any subject you are interesting, you should be able to find on the RACHEL PI.
I hope you all doing well for your next school year too.
Remember life is in your hand. Only you could make difference for yourself.
Meanwhile, I would like to remind you that. One day when you reach your dream, I would like to see you help other students who need help to continue their study, that will be the best things you could give back to me. Plus your accomplishment, which will make me very proud of you.

Hello madam Judy,
I hope you are healthy fine. I know its really long time since i wrote to you in a while now!., This is because our school is somehow in long distance to where there is computer access so that i can write to you and TsF family. But otherwise i could write to you every Saturday as we used to do at MMM center .
The challenges that I personally met this past semester was just Hard working in my studies so that to finish up the important subject topics' that our teacher didn't teach out in the class so that to do well in my last examinations.
In July of this year we are going to start a new semester for form six studies. I have also targeted to work as hard as i can so that to gain more in order to do well in final exams.
Madam Judy, i know in form 4 I almost scored division 2, Heartlly it was not enough for me though i qualified to join Advance school.!, but in this level i wish to study more and more and i also plan to score division one in order to be among of the best students in National exams of next year so that to be selected in Best University. In this together with my efforts i hope the Almighty God will help me.
In addition to that, I'm really very sorry for the hard work of caring for us and struggling to support us. May the Almighty God bless you with a a lot of his blessings. Have a nice weekend.

My fellow students, time just flew so fast. This semester is close to its end. You all must be very busy preparing for your final exams.

I hope you are all doing a great job this semester. Some of you graduated at end of the last year. You must very anxious waiting for your notification which A-level school you are assigned to.

Doesn't matter where you are going, the most important is the goals your set and your determination to accomplish your golds.

The Chinese always say 90% is hard work and only 10% is your talent. You could accomplish everything as long as you want to.

During your break, I would like you to write down what your major accomplishing and one thing which makes you proud of yourself that you would like to share with everybody. The things your did which will make me so proud of you and encourage me to continue to support you for your future school years. My goal for all of you, one day for your to go to College/University, You are somebody everybody will proud of you.

The way to do is that you set your final goal, the goal between one step a time and try reach it then go for the next goal, eventually, you will reach your final destination.

I'm very glad to see your journal to us again. I would like to say thanks for being with us hand by hand since we were even knowing nothing up to now we are little knowledgeable but also since we were even hopeless on competing our dreams up to now the context of achieving our goals is now in our own hands. Also I heard you were very busy out of town doing different activities including your business but still you find a time to write to us!, we also thanks for that madam Judy hope the God will give more to you.
Madam Judy, there at school I am continuing well though I faced some challenges few months ago. but I realized that was because it was my first time to study at high school . but now days I am studying as normal without pressure and if God wish I hope to do very well in this terminal examinations.
I am very happy to tell you that what is in my mind for now is to study very hard in order to pass National exams which we shall do on may in next year so that I can join university which I believe is where am going to fulfill my dream.

I know the new school year began two months ago and I hope you are able to focus on your studies and set goals for yourself. I hope you are doing well this school year.

My dear student,
This school year went by so quickly. I just like to say hello to every one. Wish you have great break and wonderful holidays. Remember read your favor books during the break too. Think what is you would like to accomplish for you next school year? How are going to get there? Use this break to prepare yourself. I wish all of you had great future ahead of you. You have to work hard to get there.
In US we had Thanksgiving, now every body prepare for Christmas then will be New Year.

Hi, How are you? Time has passed so quickly this past semester! Less two months the school will end for the year. I know some of you will take the National exam and some of you will take the Final exam. I wish you the best of luck to prepare yourself for the tests.
Please study hard and keep your goals in mind, the time will pass before you know it.
I would like you to write a journal to describe your biggest accomplished for this school year; or the things witch you are most proud. Do you have any goals in mind that you would like to achieve during your summer break?
For myself, I have been busy the past couple months selecting the new A-level and O-level students with Mr. Amos and Mr. Paulo. I welcome all of you to the school fund big family.

    Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.

    Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

    The experience that I had early in life was to score good marks in my class, whereby I got good grades which encouraged me to study hard in class. The difficult experience that occurred in my life was an accident on my way back home. I learnt that I should not play again in bad areas. In my life I am proud of myself. I was getting low marks in class but now I have managed to improve a lot. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life is to play football. It exercises my body regularly and hence strengthens my body system. My dream is to become a mechanical engineer. The best way to reach it is through studying hard in school, in physics, mathematics and chemistry. If I had power in my country, I would change the education system of the country so that it helps graduates to depend more on self-employment.
