About
This year Elmer will be going into his last semester in Computer Science and technology at the Khipu institute in Cusco, Peru. Elmer has maintained strong grades at Khipu, the most renowned technical institute in Cusco. He will be following this semester of academic studies with a "professionalization" practicum, providing him with both academic training and hands-on technical experience. He remains passionate about his career choice and is very excited about this opportunity.
Elmer is from a small rural community in the Sacred Valley region of Peru, so it would be very difficult for his family to travel to attend his graduation ceremony in Cusco, Peru. Therefore, Mosqoy will be hosting a graduation ceremony for Elmer in his hometown so that family and friends can participate in this event.
Elmer has also become a very dedicated volunteer in Mosqoy's new program called "Kallpa Koj." Under this program, students are encouraged to give back to their communities through volunteer services. In order to provide volunteer services to his community, Elmer participated in the building of the Bombon Weaving Center. Additionally, he travelled to three rural villages in the region to act as a Spanish-Quechua translator. Community members, students and staff were very impressed with his professional demeanor, charisma and natural ability to coordinate community meetings. He is a natural-born communicator and translator.
