About

I am ranked tenth in my class and I am the first born in my family. My father works in Arasco station and my mother is a farmer. The income that my father and mother get is not enough to pay for my school fees so sometimes I am kicked out of school due to lack of payment. Education will help me to achieve my dream of becoming a pilot.

Dear Students,

Last Sunday was the last day of my 2017 school year at my university. My sister graduated after four years with the same university. My family and I attended her graduation. There were several speeches presented by different speakers to the graduating students. I was moved by one in particular so I’d to share with you one of the key points of this speech: the importance of giving back.

“Giving back is where you give, and then nothing happens. No benefits for you, no recognition, nothing tangible gets sent your way. Your biggest and sole reward is the realization that you’ve made a significant change in someone’s life. And if not “significant” then a positive change nevertheless.”

So students, regardless if you will be graduating or continuing on with the same school, let us give back to our community whatever and whenever we can. If you have specific talents, teach others what you know, help out others whenever you are able. As the speaker said, privilege comes with responsibility. We all have the privileges of getting an education; therefore, we all have the responsibility to help others who are less fortunate.
Have a wonderful summer!
Cheers,
Jonathan Gilbert

Hi Jonathan
I hope you are doing well and thank you for giving excellent article about how to study is a good way that can make me study hard in my combination and get a good division thanks again for giving me tactics that help me to study without have problem when teachers are teaching.
I wish you all the best and live long life my friend.
Dear Students,
I would like to share with you an excellent article about how to study effectively.

How to study effectively:
1. Read the chapters before you go to the class lecture about it. It helps to know what the professor is talking about before you get there.
2. Question what you’re reading, and test yourself on it often. Generate questions after you read to go over concepts, compare and contrast, and make yourself generate examples.
3. Practice retrieving the information without your notes or book, and do it in the same way you are tested. If you are required to do essays, multiple choice, or fill in the blank, practice using the information in that way.
4. Do not study isolated facts. I only encourage notecards to work on what you are struggling with. They’re good for quick study breaks in between class or work, or to review things you struggle with before a test. Knowledge isn’t obtained in small isolated facts. Key terms and definitions aren’t going to help you really comprehend the material.
5. After the class, re-read the chapter and highlight what you think is important. After class, you may be more prepared to focus on certain sections of material.
6. Go through and highlight what you have difficulty remembering. You might want to make these points into flash cards as well. Keep the cards and review them before a test or quiz. Isolated facts aren’t how you should study, but keeping that card with you and looking over it before the test can be beneficial.
7. Spend 15 minutes a night, at least, on each class’ study guide. This kind of spaced out study helps encode the information into your long-term memory and will help you recall it faster and more accurately later.

This article helps me to study effectively. I hope you find it as helpful to your daily study as I do.

Cheers,
Jonathan Gilbert
Dear Students
I hear that you are leaving school soon for your long semester break. I hope you get a well-deserved rest, but if you can't rest, I hope your break is productive.
I think you all deserve special support and recognition for the very hard work you are putting in to get your education. I encourage you to keep trying, and see each challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow. You will be stronger and more capable to meet the challenges of adulthood if you can face the difficulties today.
Someone said that the shortest meditation is taking a deep breath. I love to do this when I feel stressed.
I’m lucky enough to be able to take some trips this year. I’m going to Croatia, Morocco and India.
I’ll report back to you about each trip.
Thank you for sharing what you are learning. I always learn from you. You are always welcome to share with me your concerns, difficulties and joys also.
Best to you all. Susan
Dear student,
It has been very long time since last time I wrote to you. I have been out of town attending conferences, doing business and helping with family issues.
I know the new school year began two months ago and I hope you are able to focus on your studies and set goals for yourself. I hope you are doing well this school year.
In your journals I would like to see you are learning, what you like and dislike about the school, your accomplishments, your difficulties your life and your obstacles you face.
I want you to evaluate yourself, what is your strength and weakness, which area do you need to improve yourself. That way I could know who you are and help me to know you better. I wish you have a great year ahead of you and let me know there are anything you need me to help.
Best regards, Judy

Hello Students,

I am sitting in my desk, looking out in the rain and thinking of all of you in Tanzania.

I hope all is well with you and you have been studying hard to achieve your goals.
I’d like to share with you the below three quotes that I find meaningful and inspiring to me. I hope you find them interesting as well:

“Happiness comes a lot easier when you stop complaining about your problems and you start being grateful for all the problems you don’t have.”

“If you want to do something, you will find a way. If you don’t, you will find an excuse.”

“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.”

Have a wonderful week!
Best,
Jonathan Gilbert

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
