About

Class Rank: 3/61 I thank the School Fund for their help to me to fulfill my dream. My goal for the future when I can help others is the most important reality to me, so I will do anything I can to make my dream come true. I feel so sad when I see parents work so hard for their children, yet those children they do bad things and end up getting pregnant. I always study so hard so I can fulfill my dreams so I can help other people who have mental problems. In my life I always feel happy when I see the people I love are also happy. I felt proud of myself when my father told me I am a special child and that I always make him happy. After I grow up, I want to give back the School Fund by joining with them to help other children so that they can fulfill their dreams like me.

Dear Students,

I love to collect wisdom from different sources that are meaningful to me.
Below are a few of my favorites that I would like to share with you:

1) When you master your emotions, you master your life
Anger. This is one emotion that is sure to pop up sometime during the day. How you deal with your anger says a lot about who you are as a person. How well do you manage your emotions? Do you have a harsh reaction if someone says something insulting to you? Anger can be a destructive emotion if not managed properly.

2) Respect other people’s opinions even when they differ from your own.

Conflict. It’s rare that two people agree on most topics. Conflict is everywhere. It happens at work, home, with family and friends. Disagreeing isn’t the problem (although most people think it is). The problem is not giving value to the opinions of others.

3) Experience The Joy Of Learning

Each time you learn something new you gain more knowledge and with more knowledge come more confidence. Learning helps us become more adaptable and flexible to new situations. Learning encourages us to be more creative and innovative in our thinking and we are therefore more comfortable with the unknown.
Reading books is a great way for us to learn. To fully embrace the joy of learning, never stop reading and searching for more knowledge.

4) Touch someone’s soul with your kindness

Random Acts of Kindness. It’s the little things in life that matter most. Hold a door, smile at people. Kindness does not cost much and it touches the soul of another person.

5) Speech is a powerful tool.

Your words. Watch your words carefully. They can be daggers or building blocks. You can crush the spirit of someone or make them feel like they can conquer the world. Taste your words before you spit them out. Words are your thoughts coming to life. It’s your choice.
What are your favorite quotes and wisdom to live by? I’d love to hear your thought on that.

Cheers,
Jonathan Gilbert
Dear Students,
I enjoy reading articles about life lessons and I would like to share with you some of my favorites. So here it is:
1. Be proud of who you are and not ashamed of how someone else sees you.
2. Always Be there. Be open. Be honest. Be kind. Be willing to listen, understand, accept, support, and forgive. This is what it means to love.
3. Life can still be beautiful, meaningful, fun, and be fulfilling even if things don’t turn out the way you planned.
4. Accept that you will never be perfect, life will always have challenges, and other people will sometimes disappoint you. Acceptance is the first step toward peace.
5. Never let success go to your head and never let failure go to your heart.
6. Always guard your head from your successes and your heart from your failures.
7. Your pain is an opportunity for you to learn about yourself.
8. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have with you.
9. Nobody’s perfect, so give yourself credit for everything you’re doing right, and be kind to yourself when you struggle.
10. You are not your struggles. You are the survivor who keeps moving forward in spite of them.
11. Life is what happens while we’re busy worrying about everything we need to change or accomplish. Slow down, get mindful, and try to enjoy the moment. This moment is your life.

Best,
Jonathan Gilbert
Dear Students,
I ran across a very interesting article about life lessons. I like it a lot and thought that you might enjoy reading it also. So here it is:
Life Lessons people most often learn too late in Life
1. Never compare your weaknesses to other people's strengths.
2. Own your life, or someone will own it for you.
3. We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.
4. If you accept your limitation, you go beyond them.
5. Comfort is the enemy of achievement.
6. Don't give others the power to control your emotion. Those are only yours and it is only for you to manipulate.
7. Victory introduces you to the world, but defeat introduces the world to you.
8. Don't rest after your first victory, because if you fail the second time, more lips will be waiting to say that your first victory was just luck.
9. Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing themselves.
10. The person that you will spend the most time with in your life is yourself, so better try to make yourself as interesting as possible.
11. While you’re growing up, your parents are growing old as well. Therefore, try to spend as much as time with them while you can.

Best,
Jonathan Gilbert
Dear Students,

A few years ago I came across a list consisting of some habits that are good to get into. I have incorporated these good habits into my daily life and I’d like to share them with you. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.

1. Sleep early, around 9pm - 10pm. After working hard through the day, your body and mind need refreshing. Rest them as soon as possible.
2. Wake up early, around 5am - 6am. Start your day early. That time is the best time for inspiration to come in. After wake up, face the sky and the sun through your window. You will be motivated.
3. Be independent. Do your tasks by yourself. Solve your problem by yourself. Don’t always depend on other people. This doesn’t mean you should not get help from others.
4. Say thank you. Always say those 2 words if you get help from others.
5. Reading. Motivation and inspiration comes from what your eyes scanning for.
6. Writing. Put down in words on things that come to your head. Try to write 1 article per day. Having a diary is also a good approach.
7. Walking. Let sport always get into your day. The simplest one is walking. Keep moving and stay healthy.
8. Meditate. Focus on what you are doing. Finish it first and move to the other one. Don’t do multitasking. You can also meditate by sitting calmly and paying attention to your breath.
9. Help other people. Help people as they need and you are capable of doing it.

Have a great week,
Jonathan Gilbert
Hello Students,

I came across a great short TED (stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design — features "ideas worth spreading) talk that I’d like to share with you. This talk is titled: Secrets of success in 8 words, 3 minutes by Richard St. John. The author and speaker conducted 500 interviews on the subject, pulling wisdom from successful TEDsters along the way. After absorbing as much as he could, St. John compiled eight powerful secrets of successful people. In this TED Talk, he shares those important success habits.
1. Passion
“Freeman Thomas says, ‘I'm driven by my passion.’ TEDsters do it for love; they don't do it for money.”
2. Work
“Rupert Murdoch said to me, ‘It's all hard work. Nothing comes easily. But I have a lot of fun.’ Did he say fun? Rupert? Yes!”
3. Get Good
“Alex Garden says, ‘To be successful, put your nose down in something and get damn good at it.’ There's no magic; it's practice, practice, practice.”
4. Push
David Gallo says, ‘Push yourself. Physically, mentally, you've got to push, push, push.’ You've got to push through shyness and self-doubt.”
5. Support (aka moms)
“Frank Gehry said to me, ‘My mother pushed me.’ ”
6. Serve
“A lot of kids want to be millionaires. The first thing I say is: ‘OK, well you can't serve yourself; you've got to serve others something of value. Because that's the way people really get rich.’ "
7. Ideas
St. John says there’s no magical secret to coming up with ideas, only a process of thinking. A few simple exercises will do the trick, such as:
• Listening
• Observing
• Being curious
• Asking questions
• Solving problems
• Making connections
8. Persistence
“Persist! Joe Kraus says, ‘Persistence is the number one reason for our success.’ You've got to persist through failure.”
If you have internet access at your library, below is the link to the talk if you’d like to watch the video presentation:

I enjoyed this talk and hope you do to 

Have a great week,

Dear Students,

This week, the US celebrated one of our largest holidays: Thanksgiving.
In the United States, Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Day is a public holiday on the fourth Thursday in November. On this day, people remember the first American Thanksgiving, when the first European settlers had been taught how to grow food by the NativeAmericans, and they celebrated the successful harvest together.

For many of us, the meaning of Thanksgiving usually includes feasting, four-day weekends, football games, floats, family reunions, or a forerunner to Christmas festivities. The “first Thanksgiving,” however, was neither a feast nor a holiday, but a simple gathering. Following the Mayflower’s arrival at Plymouth Rock on December 11, 1620, the Pilgrims suffered the loss of 46 of their original 102 colonists. With the help of 91 Indians, the remaining Pilgrims survived the bitter winter and yielded a bountiful harvest in 1621. In celebration, a traditional English harvest festival, lasting three days brought the Pilgrims and natives to unite in a “thanksgiving” observance.

This year, I celebrated Thanksgiving with a very nice dinner with my family with traditional food such as Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, etc..

Do you have a tradition similar to ours in your country? I’d love to hear about it.

Best,
Jonathan
Hi Madam Judy,
I hope You are well and fine, back to me I'm also well and fine and going well with my studies.
We have almost finished our annual exam which they were so fine that I believe I will do good.
The biology exam was not that bad because it included things which we have studied all. Also the Chemistry exam was not that tough than I thought it could be because of the factor tat we didn't cover the topics. For the matter of Physics It was not that difficult ether bus it was so long and the time was so short, but I hope I will do well.
So next week we are going to close the school where by during this break I will like to study a tution so that I can cover the topics that we haven't cover them and also to study the topics of form 4 so that I can understand them well next year.
After that which ill take only 3 week I will like to go to visit my grandfather and grandmother and y uncles.
More over I will be waiting for the result of these exams.
I like to wish you a good day and a happy weekend.
Your student,
Namyaki Philip.
Hi Sir.Jonathan,
I hope you are well and fine, back to me I'm also well and fine just preparing myself for the nearly annual exams.
This week we were having a debate which had a motion state that ''science technologies are the sources of evil things in our society.''
We were opposing this motion wit some points.
1stly.Sience technology is the source of transport and communication devices which help us in transportation and communication activities which are important in our daily life especially in business activities which depends on them mostly.
2ndly.It is important in electricity.
Through Physics people got to know about the electricity through the topic of current electricity. Electricity is important in our daily life such as in light production.
3rdly.Science technology helps in foundation of machines.
Through physics people are able to make different machines which simplify works such machines are blender and tractor.
4thy.Science technology enable people to be employed.
For those who have science technology such as doctors, engineers and such others can be employed which is important because it reduces unemployed citizens in our countries.
5thly.science technology is important in health maters.
Sick people are treated and medicines are made through science technology which helps to have healthy citizens in our countries which are able to work and increase the economic state of their countries.
So they also gave their points but at last we won because they had few points which are not much strong than ours.
Wish you a good day and a successful one and all the best in what ever you do.
Hi Madam Judy,
I hope you are well and fine, back to me I'm also fine and going well in my studies.
I like to inform you that the annual examination are nearly to come.We have remain with only one week to sit for the exams. So now we are studying hard as the preparation for them and it's not that we do not study other day, we do study but as you know that most of us students put more pressure in studies in that last days before the exams, so we also do that because I believe that studying when the exams are nearly by a student understand more.
So I promise to study hard so that to make sure that I get another chance next year in the school fund family because I believe that a part my success depends on you because you are my inspire.
The exam which I really want to do first is chemistry exam though we haven't cover all the topics because of the field teachers, they don't have enough speed to cover the topics on time, but I will do my best to make sure that I wont let my hard working and you down because I am preparing my self so well.
Also I am preparing myself for form four because next year I will be in form four which is the class of national exam which will need me to do the best so that the results will enable me to enter in form fine which will be the second step of my dream.
That's what I got to tell today Madam more over I like to wish you good day and all the best in what you will be doing.
Your student,
Namyaki Philip.
Hello Madam Judy.
I hope you are well and fine,Back to me I'm also doing well and fine.
I like to share with you this, last week I and some of my fellow students joined a group in which we will be helping other poor, sick and disabled people with what we have.
This will be through giving them hope, advice for those who have lost hope in life like those people who are HIV/AIDS positive. And also we will be giving them clothes for those who we have extra clothes and also we will be providing education about different diseases and how to control and prevent them especially those diseases which are caused by dirty environment such as cholera.
So we thought that because we have already receive a great help from you, this is how we can thank God because a help is always a help no matter how little it is but whats matter is that you have given it with all your heart.
Thank you and have a nice day.
Your student,
Namyaki Philip...
Hello Jonathan,
I hope you are well and fine, back to me I'm also doing fine and well.
I'm very happy to get your post because I believe that it will help me so much in my life time.
I will like to share about the quotes which have taken a part of my life guidance.
1st.Thing are my friends.
In my life my friends have a lot of effect which some of them are negative but in big part effect me positively. For what I believe is that,a friend can affect you but only if you will let her or him to do so,because there is a saying which say that you are who you want you to be,So in my life I am very careful in choosing friends.
2nd.Time.
I do care about time because time is something which can never come back when it pass.So i always make sure that I don't loose any time for nothing.
3rd.My dream.
I always remember what I want to be in future in order to increase more energy day by day but all in all thanks to my father and my sister who always remind me about it.
4th.My altitude or my life style.
I always try to make my life style and my altitude great so that I wont get a chance to complain about my life style because I believe that my life style is what identify what and who I am.
5th and lastly which is the most important in my life.
Are my parents.
My parents are what most important in my life because they play a big part in my life,so I always make sure that I do what make them happy and somethings which they can be proud of because there is nothing else that I can do to repay them for what they have done to me in my life.
So Jonathan that's what I can tell for today otherwise I wish you a good day.
By,,Namyaki Philip...
Hello Madam Judy,
I hope you are well and fine and if you will like to now about me,I'm also health fine and going well in my studies.
Actually I lie to share with about what happened at school in this week.
Back days we had a chemistry teacher who we loved him so much because we understood him very well because he used to teach us with all his heart and desire to see us succeed in chemistry. But sadly he left this week for some reasons and go to teach in to another school.Actually we felt so bad because we believed that maybe no one could ever teach us like him but God is good because on yesterday a new teacher came and you can't believe because he is the best teacher than the first one because he knows much and also he is a good teacher who cares about our dreams and he also promise us that he will help us in any way that he can to ensure that we all reach our dreams because he knows how it's hurts when someone fail to reach his or her dreams because he is among those people who failed to reach their dreams,so he don't want us to end up in the same situation.
So that's what made me so happy during this week and I felt like sharing with you.Thank you and have a nice day and a successful one.
Your student.
Namyaki Philip.

Hi Madam Judy.
I hope you are well and fine back to me I'm also well and fine.
I like to share with you about what I have learned this week.Yesterday I went to the hospital for eyes check up.after that I went to visit one of my friend whose leg have been cut because of a small wound which became big because of diabetes. I was very surprised because I didn't believe that diabetes can lead to a such a big dangerous case so that's when I believe about it and see it by my own eyes.
So Madam I will like for us who we have education about diabetes to educate other people and help them where we can.
Thank you and have a nice day.
Hi Sir.Jonathan
I hope you are well and fine.back to me I'm also well and fine going well in my studies.
Today I like to share with you about what I have learnt this week. It is about helping other people,my mother have been telling me that when you help someone you will be blassed in one way or another, something which I have experience this week, on Tuesday when I was on my way back home I helped an old woman to cross the road and after that she blassed me by telling me that''be blassed my daughter''.I was very happy but I forgot it.But her blessings didn't forget me,on Thursday my father came with a new bag and a pair of shoes for me,I was very happy but I asked him why because I had one then he told me I don't know but I have just filled like buying them for you. Then that's when I believed my mom's words.
So I also advice you to keep helping people because you don't know what God will do for you something bigger than what he has blessed me with.Thank you and have a nice day and a blassed one for you.

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
