Hi Raymond,

It has been a busy summer for us. Way, way too much rain and a lot of travel. I went with my church's youth group to Spain in June for 10 days for a pilgrimage on the El Camino Pilgrimage. We walked 112K in 5 days which was tough but we enjoyed the journey. There were 61 kids and 13 adults. My family has gone to the beach a few times which is wonderful

What have you been reading? I am reading book called The Baker's daughter, it's a historical fiction about a girl in Germany during World War 2. I also read The girl from Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See. Lisa See is one of my favorite authors, I love everything she writes.

Here is a picture from the Pilgrimage, our kids are on the right side. The kids in the red & yellow are new Spanish friends that were also on the Pilgrimage. It was an experience of a lifetime.
Hi Laura
I hope you are fine after the lengthy silence. We recently closed schools for a short vacation.I will be busy helping granny and of course reading.Nice time.
Hi Laura
I just received your mail and am delighted. It is bad news that you will you will not be coming to Kenya.Sorry for the catastrophe that has befallen your city.Say hi to Maggie and Liam.By the way we are off for midterm break.Nice time.
Hi Raymond,

I have no plans yet to come back to Kenya, it's a pretty far distance. The next time I come I want to bring my husband and maybe my son, Liam, maybe when he graduates High School. I do love it there. In a few short weeks, I am going to Spain with my youth group for a religious Pilgrimage. We will walk 100K on the El Camino trail. The kids have been fundraising for two years to help offset the price of the trip and we are taking about 60 kids, so that should be fun. Maggie is in Australia right now with her friends so I am anxious to hear how her trip is going. We have had tremendous rains recently, one just destroyed our little town, Ellicott City. We have helping collect goods for the residents and store owners and are helping cleaning out their buildings of debris and trash. The water rose 12 feet so the whole first floors were under water. Cars got tossed around like toys and roads collapsed. One two hundred old building got washed away. Only one life was lost, a brave man who was trying to rescue someone else. All my best, Laura
Hi Laura
I am happy to hear from you after a long time.I hope you had good time.Meanwhile am wondering when you could come to Kenya.Nice time.
And here we are together. Such a happy occasion for me. Raymond, enjoy your time at home. Hard work pays off. I will look forward to hear from you! The kids say hello! Love, Laura
And another one.
Here you are solving the building exercise. You are so smart>
Here is a couple pictures of you that I took last summer. I was so impressed with you! You were acting shy for just a little bit.
Right behind us on that deck is a pond and in the pond is Alligators. We watched this alligator eat fish on Easter it was really interesting. This guy was about 6 feet long. I nicknamed him, Buddy.
Here is a fun picture I took of our younger dog when we had a snow fall this winter. His name is Larry and he is 5
Hi Raymond,

So sorry I have not written in a while, I think of you often. That is so awesome about your science fair project, what did you do it on? You are so funny, so American. You surprised me with how much you knew about Basketball. We have been watching the NCAA tournament and enjoyed watching Villa Nova win. My girlfriend went to Villa Nova, so she took her youngest son to the game. So you are enjoying hip hop and taking pictures? You will have to show me some that you took. My younger two have off for Easter week for Spring break. We flew to Charleston, South Carolina for spring break. Here is a picture of us. (Maggie is at College and could not join us on this trip)
Hi Laura
We recently closed school for a short vacation.
The term was busy and full of activities.Imagine i managed to reach regional level in science fair projects. It was my greatest achievement so far.Say hi to Lily and others.Keep in touch.
Hi Laura
I am off for the midterm break.I always play American Football on my smartphone and it is pretty cool. Nowadays i have changed my hobbies.Guess they include what?Creating animations with a borrowed laptop(I request you for an apple laptop to create apps), listening to american hiphop and taking photos.Bravo to Maggie for the win.My dream university is no other than Harvard.Say hi to Liam and Lily.Nice time! and do not forget my request!
Hi Raymond,

I am so glad you are helping your Granny with planting, and that you get a break from school. I love that you love school so much and that you are doing very good. You know it is super important that you get the top grades especially since you are such a smart boy. You need to use all that Brain power. We are enjoying fall with all the beautiful leaves that are changing colors and starting to fall. Winter is on the way. Liam & Lily & I went to visit Maggie recently at her University for an American Football game at Pennsylvania State University. They played the University of Michigan and had the largest crowd ever watch the game at Penn State's stadium. It was 110,823 people. The game was very exciting. PSU won. I attached a picture of us. My husband was working in Puerto Rico, maybe you heard about the horrible hurricane that destroyed the island. Thanks for your sweet note, enjoy your time off! Love, Laura

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
