About

Class rank: 2/31 My dream in life is to be a teacher who is able to teach the students of A-Level Physics and Chemistry. And my aim to teach these subjects is to prepare good professionals like doctors, physicists, engineers and science teachers. Upon my success I wish to help people with problems like crippled and deaf patients, because I was born crippled and I got helped too. My parents were not able to send me to the hospital for treatment. But fortunately a kind man helped me and I became normal. Being crippled was the most difficult thing I experienced in my life since I was depending on my parents and relatives as I was unable to walk. My happiest moment in my life was the time I was told my Form 4 results of the National Exams were out and I had passed to join to A-Level education. Two years from now I shall have accomplished Form 6 and join at the university taking my profession of becoming a teacher. Lastly, I would like to thank for the opportunity given to me by The School Fund. I will work on it effectively.

My fellow student:

Welcome back to school! This is a new semester, it is time for new goals. new ideas and new learning.
At end of last semester, I wrote to you to write to me about the most remarkable or important thing that happened to you during your holiday! I am looking forward to reading your reply when you next write your journal.. Now while I really interested in what are you taking this year what will be your favorite subjects.

Knowledge will give you the power to be known you must read everything you can the more you know the more valuable you will be as a person and to your society.

I am coming to Tanzania at end of August and beginning the September.
I am looking forward to seeing you all.

Have fun and stay focuse! Best wish for all of you!
Hello Ummykheiry,

I was interested to read your journal entry about how hard study can be. I agree with you.

But I have also learned in my long life about training the mind to think in new patterns.

There is a way to train your mind by repeat efforts. Three months of repeating the same new effort goes a long way to make sure the effort becomes part of your regular habits.

If three months seems like a long time? The effort is worth it while you move forward into your new life.

Have a good week!
Karen
Hello madam Judy
How are you ?myself i am alright .Today i will like to share with you something about density: The density, or more precisely, the volumetric mass density, of a substance is its mass per unit volume. The symbol most often used for density is ρ (the lower case Greek letter rho), although the Latin letter D can also be used. Mathematically, density is defined as mass divided by volume:,
where ρ is the density, m is the mass, and V is the volume. In some cases (for instance, in the United States oil and gas industry), density is loosely defined as its weight per unit volume, although this is scientifically inaccurate – this quantity is more specifically called specific weight.

For a pure substance the density has the same numerical value as its mass concentration. Different materials usually have different densities, and density may be relevant to buoyancy, purity and packaging. Osmium and iridium are the densest known elements at standard conditions for temperature and pressure but certain chemical compounds may be denser.

To simplify comparisons of density across different systems of units, it is sometimes replaced by the dimensionless quantity "relative density" or "specific gravity", i.e. the ratio of the density of the material to that of a standard material, usually water. Thus a relative density less than one means that the substance floats in water.

The density of a material varies with temperature and pressure. This variation is typically small for solids and liquids but much greater for gases. Increasing the pressure on an object decreases the volume of the object and thus increases its density. Increasing the temperature of a substance (with a few exceptions) decreases its density by increasing its volume. In most materials, heating the bottom of a fluid results in convection of the heat from the bottom to the top, due to the decrease in the density of the heated fluid. This causes it to rise relative to more dense unheated material.

The reciprocal of the density of a substance is occasionally called its specific volume, a term sometimes used in thermodynamics. Density is an intensive property in that increasing the amount of a substance does not increase its density; rather it increases its mass.

Hello Jonathan
How are you? Myself am good. I would like to know a lot about. Where are you and what are you doing?

My fellow students, time just flew so fast. This semester is close to its end. You all must be very busy preparing for your final exams.

I hope you are all doing a great job this semester. Some of you graduated at end of the last year. You must very anxious waiting for your notification which A-level school you are assigned to.

Doesn't matter where you are going, the most important is the goals your set and your determination to accomplish your golds.

The Chinese always say 90% is hard work and only 10% is your talent. You could accomplish everything as long as you want to.

During your break, I would like you to write down what your major accomplishing and one thing which makes you proud of yourself that you would like to share with everybody. The things your did which will make me so proud of you and encourage me to continue to support you for your future school years. My goal for all of you, one day for your to go to College/University, You are somebody everybody will proud of you.

The way to do is that you set your final goal, the goal between one step a time and try reach it then go for the next goal, eventually, you will reach your final destination.

Best regards,
Judy

God bless you.
Hi Everyone,

How are you all doing? How is your semester going? Anything exciting to share? As for me, I had a mid-winter sailing regatta in Florida and I won 8th place in the silver fleet. And I had one week spring break at the beginning of April. I also took AP chemistry test on May 1st. It was a little stressful. A few more weeks my school is going to finish. I am looking forward to summer, although I still don't have a clear plan yet. How about you?

Need to get up early tomorrow. Talk to you later. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

All the best wishes,

Anthony

Dear student,
It has been very long time since last time I wrote to you. I have been out of town attending conferences, doing business and helping with family issues.
I know the new school year began two months ago and I hope you are able to focus on your studies and set goals for yourself. I hope you are doing well this school year.
In your journals I would like to see you are learning, what you like and dislike about the school, your accomplishments, your difficulties your life and your obstacles you face.
I want you to evaluate yourself, what is your strength and weakness, which area do you need to improve yourself. That way I could know who you are and help me to know you better. I wish you have a great year ahead of you and let me know there are anything you need me to help.
Best regards, Judy

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
