About

I live with my mother and other family members. My mother separated with my father due to misunderstanding. This forces me into a hard situation of not getting enough school needs. When I finished standard seven I was not sent to the public secondary school due to school needs, but I thank God because of good relatives, I got a chance at my secondary school. They tried as much as they could for the first term. What I see forward is not good because the chance of continuing is very limited. This is because of the burden of other students who need to go to school. What I am proud of my life is that I am doing well academically and surely I can accomplish a dream of being a doctor. This can be done by leaning science subjects.

Hi Students

It seems you are all studying hard. I’m enjoying your letters.

We in the United States have been experiencing severe Hurricanes with much flooding and destruction. This has happened in the southern part of the country and on some islands off the eastern coast.

I am taking another trip soon. I’ll be going to Morocco for two weeks, to study Moroccan food, and to travel to the coast, and into the Atlas mountains to hike.

I hope you all are well, and working hard at making your dreams of successful school come true.
I hope you got to see Judy. She cares so much for you.

Susan
Hello Karen! i am so fine. It bis my hope that everything bis right. take time to share the topic about history subject.
Explain the importance of studying History
Studying history is important because it allows us to:
1. Understand how African societies were formed, how they developed and the factors that influence this development.
2. It also allows us to develop an understanding of the events, conditions and factors that shaped the past and those which has shaped the present conditions of the world in order to predict the future.
3. Historical knowledge makes the present comprehensive which is why journalists and writers of sensational stories spend some time explaining the history of a particular incident; it is only when one knows the past of a person or an incident that the present can became meaningful.
4. Develop an understanding and appreciation of the cultural, political, economic and technological advancements made by African societies before and after colonial ruler ship.
5. Develop the basic skills of critical thinking, reasoning, judgment, empathy and effective participation in human developmental activities. Studying history also helps us to understand and appreciate the efforts made and strategies used by African people to regain their independence and resist neo-colonialism
6. Develop, understand and appreciation the need for African unity, cooperation and interdependence, conflict resolution and effective participation in social, economic and political development of Africa.
7. It also helps us to develop an understanding of the relationshiphhukowfu8o between African’s development problems and foreign intrusion, colonial domination, cultural subjugation and economic exploitation at various stages in history.
8. Acquire knowledge for its own sake as you enjoy a novel with fiction, a film with an interesting plot. It is not clear why people are interested in these ventures and in the same way people do enjoy to know the history of particular topics.
9. Develop our patriotism, history students know their heroes and heroines and traitors. This makes history a sensitive subject in places where political leaders are not sure of their legitimacy.
10. Enlightens people about the advantages of certain economic practices for example, the way the development in the world today is measured by the industrial revolution that took place in Europe in 1750
11. Understand the level of development at different stages of human development. Without history it is very difficult to determine or to tell what humans did in the past. Therefore, it is through history that one can extensively understand the level of development that humans have reached at in a given period in time.
12. Helps us learn about technological transformations, for example primitive livelihood to advanced livelihood (using of stones and wood tools to iron tools)
13. Understand how humans adapted to their environment and how the struggled to earn a living from the environment. This therefore looks at the long struggle of man by exercises of his reason to understand the environment and to act up on it.
14. Understand the relationship that existed between humans and the environment.
15. Acquire skills in historical issues and becoming professionals in history, some people such as archaeologists and historians study history for career purposes
Hello Students!

I wanted to write to say hello to you all and to ask how your school year is going?

Almost all of the United States has been watching and reading about the hurricane that came ashore in the state of Texas last week, bringing very large amounts of rain up to 52 inches in 3 days. They had named the storm
Dear Students

I understand that Judy will be visiting you soon. I hope you all get to meet her. She is a wonderful person, and works very hard to get the tools and resources you need to get a good education. Bravo to Judy!

I had a very interesting and educational trip to Croatia. We travelled mostly by bus along the coast. The country and the sea were incredibly beautiful. Tourism provides most of the country’s income.
Croatia has been ruled by many different empires, going back to the Roman empire in 300 AD. The different types of architecture in the cities tell the stories of the different occupying rulers through time.

As Anold said, travel opens your mind to many things you’d never thought about before.

I hope school is going well for all of you.
Deusi said, “Education is like a shield in the battle ground”.

Wiseman, my fruit trees were not as prolific as last year, but I did get enough apricots to make jam for myself and friends. And I think I will get some pomegranates this year.

Have fun as well as working hard! Susan

Dear Students
How are you all? I hope you are enjoying school. You all seem to be working very hard, and I applaud your endeavors. Maybe some of you have finished your final exams by now?
I am having the great good fortune to travel to Croatia in two days. I'm going with a group from Stanford University. It is my turn to study because we were assigned many books to read about Croatia and its history prior to our trip. I understand it is a beautiful country with many waterfalls and mountains. We will also travel down its coast. The Adriatic Sea, I'm told, is chrystal clear and blue. Thank you, dear students, for writing to me. I regret that I can't answer each letter personally. There are too many of you now to do that. Sincerely, Susan
Dear Students

Once again, I read your letters with pleasure. You all have interesting subjects to discuss, and you express what you understand so well.
Are you learning your subjects is English??

I’ve been working in my garden several hours a day. This year we’ve had a lot of rain (the first year of rain in quite a while). The apricots are huge! The size of oranges. I am so happy with them because they are my favorite fruit. Today I made apricot jam.
Tomorrow I’ll make more. The fruit is falling off the tree because they are so heavy. (I only have one tree) It’s amazing because the tree has never given fruit before.
I’m wondering now if you have apricots? Maybe not. I don’t remember seeing any in Tanzania.

Is it a hot season in Tanzania now?

I think about you all, and am so proud of your efforts and accomplishments. Please write again, and tell me about yourselves.

Sincerely, Susan
My fellow students, time just flew so fast. This semester is close to its end. You all must be very busy preparing for your final exams.

I hope you are all doing a great job this semester. Some of you graduated at end of the last year. You must very anxious waiting for your notification which A-level school you are assigned to.

Doesn't matter where you are going, the most important is the goals your set and your determination to accomplish your golds.

The Chinese always say 90% is hard work and only 10% is your talent. You could accomplish everything as long as you want to.

During your break, I would like you to write down what your major accomplishing and one thing which makes you proud of yourself that you would like to share with everybody. The things your did which will make me so proud of you and encourage me to continue to support you for your future school years. My goal for all of you, one day for your to go to College/University, You are somebody everybody will proud of you.

The way to do is that you set your final goal, the goal between one step a time and try reach it then go for the next goal, eventually, you will reach your final destination.

Dear Students
I hear that you are leaving school soon for your long semester break. I hope you get a well-deserved rest, but if you can't rest, I hope your break is productive.
I think you all deserve special support and recognition for the very hard work you are putting in to get your education. I encourage you to keep trying, and see each challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow. You will be stronger and more capable to meet the challenges of adulthood if you can face the difficulties today.
Someone said that the shortest meditation is taking a deep breath. I love to do this when I feel stressed.
I’m lucky enough to be able to take some trips this year. I’m going to Croatia, Morocco and India.

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
