About

Falece was born in the city of Beira in 2002. He is a cheerful, intelligent and studious boy. During his free time, he enjoys playing football with friends, and helps his mother with the housework in the company of his siblings. His father passed away in 2004. His mother buys and resells fresh fish to make a living. Falece has 2 siblings who both attend Secondary school. The older brother studies at night because during the day he works as a domestic servant to help his mother with the expenses of the house and his studies. Padre excelled in primary school and was ranked number four in his class. However, with six children to take care of, his family struggles to make ends meet. There are very few resources at home and they often do not have enough food to feed their children. Since none of Padre’s older siblings had the opportunity to go to secondary school, he hopes to be the first in his family to graduate so that he can give back to his family and his community.
