About

Anali is from Parobamba, a remote community that sits on the edge of the Andean mountains and overlooks the Amazon jungle. Anali graduated high-school a couple of years ago where she was the mayor of her school, putting on several events to support her community’s medical center and other public institutions. Anali is the daughter of a master weaver and was working in Chinchero selling textiles for the past few years, hoping to save up the funds to study, but didn’t have the opportunity to continue her education without Mosqoy’s support. Anali wishes to become a leader in her community and help those who need her support after graduating, including helping market and sell her community’s traditional textiles; she has therefore decided to study Business Administration at a post-secondary trade institute in Cusco.

Dear donor:
It is a pleasure to address you again. First, I would like to greet you and wish you success. I hope you are in good health at the beginning of the new year of 2024. On this occasion, I would like to thank you for all the support you have given us for more than three years now. Above all, thank you for giving me that opportunity to continue despite all these economic crises that have continued to arise.

Personally, I would just like to update you on everything we are experiencing here. First, I am already in the middle of my last semester. I am very happy and at the same time sad because I am about to graduate. This last quarter has been the most difficult of all. I have a lot of homework, my thesis and other projects, and there are more expenses to cover, such as a large amount that they ask for my thesis and graduation. I really feel very grateful to you and to Casa Mosqoy for this great support towards me. Little by Little, I am close to completing my degree, although it is only a technical degree; even so, I feel very excited because I am actually the first person in my family who is studying in higher education.

To conclude, with my letter I would just like to tell you that effort always has its reward, and perseverance is very important. Thank you for reading my letter, even though it is just about my personal life. And thank you very much for continuing to support us. I will always be grateful for all the effort you make to contribute to our program of young people who seek study opportunities to achieve our dreams. Thank you so much.

A big hug from a distance.

Dear donor:
It is a pleasure to write to you again. First, I would like to greet you and wish you success. I hope you are in good health. On this occasion I would like to thank you for all the support you give me and the Mosqoy program. Most of all thank you for giving me the opportunity to continue despite all these economic crises that come and came.

On this occasion I would just like to update you on everything we are going through here. First I have finished my 5th semester recently, which I feel very happy about. We had difficulties at home with the economy, but we are surviving, which is why I stopped studying my English course, but with the others we continue, although there are some things that are no longer the same. Now I only have one semester left until I finish my degree in international business administration and I would need a marketing course, which is an extra course in the degree and also a large amount that they ask for my thesis and graduation. I really feel very grateful to you and to Casa Mosqoy for this great support towards me. Little by little I am close to completing my professional career, although it is only technical. Even so, I feel very excited because I am actually the first person in my family who is studying a professional career, because my older brothers have their family. My little sister is also trying to study, but it is very difficult for her. In reality, with your support I feel like the luckiest person, for the reason that they really support me in everything they do for me.

Apart from that, I would like to tell you that I am already working in an industrial textile workshop, where I learn many things. The most important thing is that I have the opportunity to learn how to export, which is what I want to dedicate myself to exporting, and also work with my community to form an export company in my town, although today I don't know if that really works in my town but maybe in other towns it does, for the reason that in my town they owned a mining area where exploration is now underway. But I still feel very grateful for not being abandoned by the Mosqoy program and even more so for your financial support. Because thanks to you, many youth are fulfilling their dreams. Many are thinking of abandoning it due to lack of resources, but your economic and moral support gives us the strength to continue fighting and study in peace. We often think of our parents, like where they get their money from, how they do it with all of that, knowing that they do not have permanent jobs. They only work to feed themselves and have no opportunities or work. Sometimes it is difficult with all that. And even more so if they have illnesses. But even so, we continue studying with everything.

To conclude with my letter, I would just like to tell you that effort always has its reward, and perseverance is very important. Thank you for reading my letter even though it is only my personal life that I am sharing. And thank you very much for continuing to support us, I will always be grateful for all the effort you make to contribute to our Youth Program, which seeks study opportunities to help us achieve our dreams. Thank you so much. A strong hug from a distance.

Primero me gustaría saludarle y desearle éxitos.

Muchas Gracias. Un fuerte abrazo a la distancia.

Dear donor:
My first lines are to greet you and wish you success in all your endeavors and also that you have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. I want to thank you for all the support you give us in Casa Mosqoy. It is a pleasure for me to write this letter to you and thank you for giving me that opportunity to continue fulfilling my dreams. Thanks for all the support. For now I continue with my studies. Now I am beginning to study my 4th trimester. I feel very happy to continue studying and likewise learning many more things, also in English I am already in intermediate, although I am not doing very well, but I strive so that I can learn. During this time we have also been participating in workshops such as finance and photography. Thank you very much for supporting us and because of your generosity, we can have these workshops.

Although today our country is going through difficult times with politics and all the problems it encounters, we continue to study thanks to your support and generosity. In reality, Mosqoy’s students could not study if it were not for you. The economy in our towns is very critical and it is not stable. Many of our parents do not have stable jobs because there are protests and it is difficult to work. The situation in our country is affecting our studies and the economic part of the country a lot. I just wanted to thank you again for everything, because despite all these problems we do not stop. We continue to study and try to fulfill our dreams and the promise that we once made to our communities. I, with your help, will achieve it and in about a year and a half I will graduate and fulfill my dream. Thank you.

To conclude with my letter, I would just like to tell you that effort always has its reward and thank you for reading my letter, even though it is only about my life. And thank you very much for continuing to support us. I will always be grateful for all the effort you make to contribute to our program for young people who seek study opportunities for our dreams. Thank you. Have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, a big hug from a distance.
Sincerely,
Anali Elimelit Gayoso Soncco.

Ahora me encuentro comenzando a estudiar mi 4to trimestre.

During all this time, I continue to learn many things. For now, I have already started my third quarter of my international business administration degree and I have already finished basic English and I am starting intermediate. I feel very happy to continue studying it, and to continue learning more. Little by little, I am improving even though I could not get good grades initially. But I am in the process, I would like to have good grades. All this time many things happened in my life. We already started with face-to-face classes. It was a bit difficult to adapt, but later it was fun but tiring.

I also had problems, like my cell phone was stolen twice in less than two weeks, it was very difficult for me. But I have to continue studying. I spent two weeks without a cell phone. What hurt the most was that the cell phones were bought by my father with great effort, but I continued with all my activities as usual.

Well, these are things that have happened to me all this time that have stood out the most in my life, but I always believed that things happen for a reason and I thank God for everything he did in my life, and you for giving me the opportunity to continue studying, despite all of the hardships I've been through. Elsewhere, it is difficult to study with problems, but there are people or dreams that drive you and encourage you to continue fighting and it is me, my family and my community that always give me the strength to keep going.

To conclude with my letter, I would just like to tell you that effort always has its reward and thank you for reading my letter, even though it is only my life that I am living. And thank you very much for continuing to support us, I will always be grateful for all the effort you make to contribute to our program for young people who seek study opportunities for our dreams. Thank you so much.

Dear Donor,

My name is Anali, and I’m writing this card to you. First, I send you and all your family a formal greeting and I want to say that I am profoundly grateful for the help you’ve brought me this year, likewise, for the financial support that you have brought to all the youth in Mosqoy’s program this year of the pandemic, which has been difficult for everyone.

This year the youth in Mosqoy’s program started with our studies. The experiences and opportunities that we had in Casa Mosqoy were the most important moments of my life, and the help that I received has opened doors to my future so I can move forward.

I feel very happy to have started studying international business administration and also for all that I learned in Casa Mosqoy like English. The workshops and tutors help me every day. Thank you very much.

In 2022, I would like to continue studying and pursuing my dreams and also learn and have more experiences to help other people. But my goal is to learn more this year.

To finish my card, thank you very much for all the help. I am very grateful to be able to accomplish my dreams. May God take care of you and bless you always all your life. Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year!

Sincerely,
Anali Elimelit Gayoso Soncco

Parobamba

Dear Donor,

With pleasure I greet you, and I hope that you are healthy and with all your family. I write this card to you from Parobamba. I am one of the recipients of the Mosqoy scholarship. I, like the majority of youth in my community, dream of studying a trade in an institute of higher education. Many of the youth in my community can’t follow their dreams because they lack money and opportunities. My dream is to study hotel administration with the intention of lifting my family out of the poverty that is in my community, to help my community improve economically, and also I want to achieve more than my parents were able to.

My father is a farmer who strives day by day to help his children succeed, and my mother is an artisan. With the little that she earns selling her products, she supports us financially. Both of my parents are motivated by a single purpose: to see us accomplish more than they could. During the pandemic caused by COVID-19, we have all gained new experiences, like not leaving the house and not seeing our family members. Between us, the most difficult thing is to give up the plans that we had this year so that we do not get infected and not bring the virus to our homes. I am really grateful to Miss Ashli and all her group for funding the Mosqoy program and to you for being a part of it, for giving me the opportunity to continue studying and make my dreams a reality.

I say goodbye, may God bless you with a big hug from afar. May you have a good day in the company of your family.
Sincerely,
Anali Elimelit Gayoso Soncco

Estimado donante:

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

The experience that I had early in life was to score good marks in my class, whereby I got good grades which encouraged me to study hard in class. The difficult experience that occurred in my life was an accident on my way back home. I learnt that I should not play again in bad areas. In my life I am proud of myself. I was getting low marks in class but now I have managed to improve a lot. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life is to play football. It exercises my body regularly and hence strengthens my body system. My dream is to become a mechanical engineer. The best way to reach it is through studying hard in school, in physics, mathematics and chemistry. If I had power in my country, I would change the education system of the country so that it helps graduates to depend more on self-employment.
