About

Samuel was born in the city of Beira, Sofala province, on May 8, 2004, where he lived with his parents. He is a well-behaved and intelligent boy and likes to play football. During his free time, he likes to review school subjects and helps his mother with the house duties. Samuel’s father passed away in 2019, victim of a work accident. He has 2 sisters and 2 brothers. His mother works in the fields in the District of Nhamantanda, but the little that the she has harvested has not been enough to support the family, sometimes the day goes by without meals. Their house consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, has an outside bathroom and no piped drinking water. Samuel’s preferred subject at school is Portuguese and he wants to become a Teacher. During 2020, due to COVID 19, the students had to study home, going weekly to the school to buy brochures and copies of tests. Most of the kids could not afford it.
