Naomi is 15 years old. When she was a young girl her parents got a divorce, so she does not know her father. After the divorce, the poor and illiterate mother went to stay with Naomi's grandparents. The grandfather died in 1999, so the elderly grandmother and unemployed mother have been struggling to feed, educate and provide for Naomi and her siblings. Naomi was brought to Agape Mercy Children's Center and sent to Gathanji Primary School. After graduating class eight she was admitted to Giachuki Secondary School where she is now enrolled. She is able to return to AMCC during holidays. When she is not partaking in athletics, she enjoys her favorite foods: chapati and beef stew. She has a vision of becoming a university lecturer after completing her PhD at an international university.

Hi! Connor!
I take this opportunity to greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus. I am glad for God granting me another opportunity to communicate with you once again. I have been working hard in school that I may achieve my goal and be an agent in the society. I break for midterm holiday on 4th.10.2013 to report back on 9th.10.2013. Now i am at home (AMCC-K)
and am happy to be with my sisters and brothers. I am starting my K.C.S.E Examination on 22nd. 10.2013 targeting a mean grade of B (plain) which will take me to the university level. I would like also to thank you for your financial support in paying my school fees. God bless you.

I have recently done my mock examination but the results are not yet out. I break for August holiday o n 6thAugust 2013 and am opening on 3th September 2013. I am doing well in Ah -Gah-Pay Mercy. I am still pressing on to the accomplishment of my goal of being a lecturer. Mine is just to thank you for your financial support in paying my school fees. You are blessed to a blessing. I have been progressing with my education well in school. I have done my end of term exams but the results are not yet out but am hoping to get a mean grade of C. Dear Danica,

In school am doing well and progressing with my studies by having a bright future in my education. Last term I did an
examination and the result are out and I managed to get a mean grade of C-. (Editor's note: The grading system in Kenya is different from that of the USA.)

I was given a mid term break on 19th October 2012 and reported back to school on 23rd October 2012. I spent my mid term break in Ah-Gah-Pay Mercy Centre where I interacted with my sisters and brothers which was very okay. I was taught about a good Shepherd who lays down his life for the sake of his sheep. So I am the sheep and that Jesus died on
the cross for the forgiveness of my sins.

I take this opportunity to thank you for your support by paying my school fees and the love you have shown me. Remember you are always in my prayer list everyday and night. May God bless you.

I have done end of term exam and I managed to score position 47. In our school I have joined wildlife club which have helped me to know many National parks in our country. I also participated in co- curriculum activities like Athletic and handball. In Athletic I was position 20 out of 400 students in the district.

    Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.

    Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

    The experience that I had early in life was to score good marks in my class, whereby I got good grades which encouraged me to study hard in class. The difficult experience that occurred in my life was an accident on my way back home. I learnt that I should not play again in bad areas. In my life I am proud of myself. I was getting low marks in class but now I have managed to improve a lot. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life is to play football. It exercises my body regularly and hence strengthens my body system. My dream is to become a mechanical engineer. The best way to reach it is through studying hard in school, in physics, mathematics and chemistry. If I had power in my country, I would change the education system of the country so that it helps graduates to depend more on self-employment.
