About

Bushra is from Burao, the second-largest city in Somaliland, located in the Eastern region of the country, where she lives with her father and siblings. She had to leave school in 2014 because her family was unable to pay the tuition, but was given a scholarship and returned in 2015. Despite this gap, Bushra has excelled in English, and writes and speaks at a nearly native level, despite only a few years of instruction in English.

Hello Bushra,
My name is Virginia am Kenya girl am working smart to success. Am sending best wishes for your studies.

YOUR FRIEND VIRGINIA
Hello there!
The first term of this year went very good and i'm proud to say that it was a productive one. The second term is going really great with the help of my teachers who are dedicated to teach and guide us to the best of their ability. One of the classes that i am enjoying so far this year is Psychology. It really fascinates me. I am interested in how human brain works, what affects our decision making process and what determines one's behavior. Attending this class has enabled me find answers to some of my questions and also arouse more questions in my mind which i find absolutely thrilling!
I also enjoy my English class a lot. My goal is to read as many books as i can this year. I am looking forward to what this year has yet to bring.
Thank you for reading.

His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.
