About

Farhan comes from a nomadic family, which includes his mother, two grandmothers, two grandfathers, five sisters, and nine brothers. Being from a nomadic family, Farhan is especially excited to have earned a scholarship to study at our school and have the opportunity to improve his and his family’s future. Farhan’s biggest accomplishment is learning English and continuing to improve his language abilities. When he first arrived at school, he had trouble understanding English, but he now feels comfortable learning in English. Now that he is comfortable with English, he enjoys helping his peers who are having trouble learn English so that they can do better in school. In the future, Farhan hopes to be a School Headmaster so that he can help other students learn.

This year has been very challenging, because it is the first year of upper school. Doing a lot of homework and writing many essays, which made me to think every thing deeply and teach me how to manage my time and have motivations. but on the other hand it has been excited year to participate the primary tutoring and teach or help the young kids from the village so that they can get opportunities like this. I am not educate only to have a better future but I usually try to help the others around me, and that is the real meaning to be educated person.

Nohemi is from the small rural community Socma in the Sacred Valley Region of Peru. Growing up it was difficult for her family to meet their basic needs. This made it challenging for her to prioritize her studies; nevertheless, she was persistent and found the support she needed for secondary education through scholarship programs. "La alegria y las ganas son los que guian nuestro camino para el exito. "Happiness and motivation guide our path to success." In the future, she would like to use her knowledge and experience in order to help develop a sustainable tourism program for Socma. She is very proud of her beautiful community and hopes to share her culture with others in a way that allows for responsible social development.

In 2012 I did the national examination for two days. In the results, I got a 192 marks, equal to grade B, and I could join standard 5. When I was in class 5, my mother passed away. It was difficult for me. She paid my school fees. Another person paid my fees in class 6. My examination results were good and I passed to join standard 7. In standard 7, we did the mock examination for our zone and I got a good result, grade A. Then I did the national examination and I got 217 out of 250 marks, equal to a grade A. Now that I have financial support from The School Fund, I want to pass all the national examinations and become a doctor.
