About

Khadar has four sisters and three brothers. Khadar is very glad to have earned a scholarship to come to our school. He feels lucky to be able to attend school and have the opportunity to earn an education. For this reason, Khadar enjoys studying and doing well in his classes. His favorite subjects are math, science, and English. He enjoys reading history books and playing football outside of class. In the future, Khadar hopes to be able to travel and see more of his country. Going to the Abaarso School, Khadar has learned a lot about their community’s diversity and more about his country. It is this new knowledge that has inspired him to want to travel throughout his home country to see and learn more about it.

This year is going very well and I have a lot of opportunities to enlarge my knowledge. We got new clubs that are very important for us and we got a lot of benefits from these clubs. I joined the orphanage program to help my community and the little kids who do not an opportunity to get education. We give the orphans high level education that they can not get from their city.
My favorite classes are English, math and science and I made a lot of accomplishments so far. We did projects in Geometry class and these projects were helpful and Iam enjoining to have this class. I achieved a lot of my dreams during the last three years that I was in Abaarso School. I enjoy playing football and I play football during the weekends. Overall this year was great and I hope I will achieve my bigger goals.

Fiona is the last born in a family of three. She lives with both her parents who are casual labourers. Her mother had a major surgery on her left hand in 2020. This made them sell part of their property to take care of the medical bills and thus reducing their income significantly and again making it very difficult for them to take care of the education bills of their children. Fiona drew her inspiration to pursue success from her Math teacher and she aspires to be a civil engineer to make contributions in the development of infrastructure in her village.
