Suhaib lives with his mother and four brothers. Suhaib is proud to be a member of our school community and learning new things he would not have learned elsewhere. His favorite classes are Algebra and Chemistry. With his interest in math and chemistry, Suhaib hopes to be a chemical engineer in the future. Outside of class, Suhaib enjoys reading non-fiction books, especially about history, and playing soccer. Suhaib feels it is important to be there for his family and to make them proud.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks to everyone who helped me out and I really appreciate your effort. Now I am in the states as an exchange student and so far I am doing great. Evrything is different but I am going alone with it. Luckily, I get a great family and Thanks to them for their generosity. In the school, I am doing well and now I finished my first semester. My classes are based on my future dream and really they are good and enjoying them so far. Finally, thanks everyone again and I am looking forward to overcome my dream.

I just wanted to send my encouragement from the United States. I'm a college student and I'm rooting for you. Keep working hard in school and putting in all your effort and I'm sure you will be successful in whatever path you choose to take.     Matata is a daring young boy who believes that success is often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable. He is the last born in a family of four. His parents are unemployed and largely depend on subsistence farming, which has been negatively affected by frequent severe droughts. Most of the rural roads in his village are very impassable and this has pushed him towards achieving his dream of becoming an engineer. Since Matata was a young boy, he has always liked playing football not only at home but also in school and he was the goalkeeper for his school team.

    Kelvin is a young student whose father has abandoned him, his brother, and his mother. She had an obstetric fistula from giving birth that made it very difficult for her to work. Kelvin is close with his grandparents but his mother struggles to keep the family housed and there are days they only have one meal. He wants to succeed in school along with his brother.
