About

Hesborn lives with his mother Josephine who is a single parent at Lindi; she earns a living from selling vegetables on the side of the road. Their Father abandoned the family when they were still young. They live in a one roomed house and pay Ksh 1300(USD 16) for both rent and electricity. Hesborn is the second born of three children, the first born dropped out in class seven and the last born is in class eight at Olympic High School. He is a bright young boy who loves to play football and his teacher states that "he comes from a poor background, the mother has other children in school and so she finds it difficult to provide for the family". The opportunity to go to High School through The Children of Kibera Foundation scholarship is overwhelming and he is thrilled to have the opportunity and his aim is to work even harder.
