About

Isaac is the fourth born child in a family of six children. He has a twin brother called Muinde Nzingi. Their parents are divorced and have deserted the children. The children live with a guardian (Florence) who takes care of them. The main challenge is that the guardian family has a big family of their own (comprised of seven children) to fend for therefore limiting their ability to support these adopted children. The first and the second born brothers of Isaac completed form four in 2014 through support of well-wishers. The third born is currently in form four at the Mbaikini School and is supported by the guardian family. Isaac did his primary exam in 2014 and passed well with 359 marks and has been admitted at The Mbaikini school. Isaac is a very bright and is among the best top performing students. He is very determined to join secondary school and study hard to be an accountant in future.

Hi?
Dear Nicole,
If you may want to share much to me as I am will be in school you can email me through ISAACMBATHA.N@GMAIL.COM
I wish you a nice time.
Thanks.
Isaac N.
Hi?
I am happy to write to you. I hope that you are doing well.
I went through the instructions of the "set" game and I managed to understand them. I even taught one of the teachers at the school and we usually play together. It is very interesting actually.

This is my last week of the internship program. It has been fine and good.
Just to inform you that I have only one month then I join the University (Chuka University, as I had told you, for a degree course of Actuarial Science).
May God bless you.
Your Friend,
Isaac
Hello Isaac!

I am happy to hear you met with my friend Sharon! She is wonderful. I am glad you got the games. If you get to spend any time with the teachers from the United States they will certainly know how to play the games, especially the game "Uno". It is a very well known game here. The game "Set" is one of my favorites. You have to think and have fast eyes to find "sets" of cards. I can try to explain if the instructions inside are difficult to understand. Let me know if that would be helpful!
I am happy that your internship is going well. I know that you are very dedicated and a hard worker and that will take you far in life!
Stay strong! I enjoy our conversations!

Your friend,
Nicole
Hi Nicole,
I am doing well in my internship program. I hope that you are doing good too.
I wanted to inform you that i met with Sharon today at my school. She was really happy to meet me.
I ma grateful for the gift that you had sent her to bring to me. Actually it is nice. I am thankful. The games are nice although I do not know how to play them.
We shall share more. May God bless you.
Thanks.
Your friend,
Isaac.
Hi,

I am glad that your wrote to me. I want to admit that your apology is accepted. I am finding it good to teach the children. Actually they are enjoy my service.
In our country we do not take college placement exams, but the placement is based on the performance of the national exam(Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education-K.C.S.E) that we take when graduating from form 4( it is taken only once in high school level.
It is only languages that I did meet the required qualification. It required me to have at least grade C+ in the languages, but I managed to score grade C. in English.
So based on my performance in the KCSE I was placed to take actuarial science program. Actually I was very good in Maths, I scored Grade A. in mathas.
For the time been I do not have a Bible. I don't know those verses, I can see that they are very encouraging, but I will look at them.
I like to study about the computer world and science, plants and playing handball. I also like to make a website although have tried several times in vain.
What! Too bad to hear that you are not visiting us,I was eager to meet you this summer, but I know that sometime to come you shall. It is fine, sorry for been disappointed.

God bless you all,
Your friend,
Isaac N.
Hello Isaac!!

Please forgive me for not writing sooner! I am so happy to hear from you and get updates from you!
It makes me so happy to hear that you are teaching the children. I think the children would really enjoy you and your wisdom! It is kind of you to give back to the children to help them achieve their dreams.
So, you took the college placement exams and you were put into an actuarial science program? I know that this means you are VERY good at math, which is wonderful, but I understand this is not the path you had hoped for. I don't understand this process in Kenya. You take an exam and based on your scores you are told what you will continue to study? I am happy that you are not giving up on your dream. Sometimes it is hard to understand these things and the plans that God has in store for us.
Isaac, do you have a Bible? Do you know the verses from Jeremiah 29:11 and Proverbs 3:5-6? They are reminders that God loves you and has a plan for you. He will guide your path.

Isaac, I wondered if you could tell me some things that you especially enjoy (outside of school and teaching)? I like to read and make things and I like plants and my dog and exercising. How about you?

I will pray for your path Isaac and that you feel and see where God is leading you. And that you find joy in it! I know that you continue to work hard and I am so proud of you. I will also pray for the rain to come. I can not imagine how it feels to be in a drought.

To close, I wanted to tell you that I was able to meet and spend time with James while he was visiting the US with my friend Sharon. I was also able to briefly meet Patrick recently as he was also able to visit the US.

I know that some day I will meet you face to face. This summer I can not take the trip. I am disappointed but will continue to work toward getting there.

Know that you are often in my thoughts.

Be well!
Your friend,
Nicole

Hi?
I am fine and doing well with my volunteer course. I hope your are doing well in your art classes.
I just wanted to inform you that I am doing well. The grade four pupils whom I teach Mathematics and Science as their volunteer teacher are finding it good and comfortable with me as their teacher in those subjects. Also the teachers are much moved by my efforts.

A saddening news comes in where by the Kenyan board of University and college placement placed me in a course that is actually parallel to my dream. I am to take a degree course in Actuarial Science come September in a public university by the name Chuka.

Just to remind you on my dream, I wanted to be a surgeon.

In our country we were waiting for the long rains which as turned to be a dry spell. We are really praying to God for mercy that He may give us rains. Rivers and dam are almost dry and the land is turning to bare. Is this situation happening to you?

I hope you pay a visit to Kenya this summer. I we be glad to meet you.
May God bless you.
Your friend,
Isaac N.
Nicole,
Hello? I am fine and going on well. I hope too that you are fine and going on well. How is your new year and its going?
I wanted to inform you that I am volunteering in a nearby primary school as a teacher of Mathematics and Science. This is because I want to offer back to the community and motivate the pupils am teaching.
I chose to teach Maths and Science because they are my favourite subjects and also I performed well in them that is why my dream of taking a course in the field of Medicine will never die from my ambitions and passions.
I will keep in touch in journaling to update on my progress.
Nay God bless you all.
Good bye!
Your friend,
Isaac N.
Nicole,
Happy new year? I am so proud that I got the new year at peace and in good conditions. Thanks a lot for your best wishes to me concerning my examinations. Also I am thankful for your prayers that you offer to God on my welfare.
I am proud to share my performance in the last year's national exams, I managed to attain a mean grade of B and I was position two out of hundred and forty four students in the school that I was schooling. With this grade I have a chance to the university.

Isaac,
I am so proud of how hard you have worked and how far you have come with success! Going to the Karura forest sounds like an amazing trip! How wonderful you were able to go! Already your hard work is paying off!
I will be praying for your health and strength of your mind and body and spirit as you prepare for your national exams. I will also pray that your mind is at peace about it and that you remember that God has a plan for your life. He loves you and cares for you always and that is so good to know!
We are starting school next week after having the summer break. This week I have been in my classroom preparing for my very young students who are 3, 4 and 5 years old!
My daughter, Bella, just started her second year at university and my son, Justus, has two more years of high school.
Isaac, I always love to hear from you! I am thankful that we can send messages.

God bless you and keep you and watch over you!
Your friend,

Hello?
I am fine. The holiday was fine and a busy one. I tried as much as I can to be in books so as to continue working hard as I am waiting for my national examination which will commence on the first week of November. During the holiday the office took the best performing students to Karura forest which is within the Capital and I was one of them and we enjoyed the trip.

We are resuming our studies tomorrow on 28th August, 2018. This is my last secondary school term. What I can request from you is a lot of prayers so that God may keep me in Good health and strong to tackle the examination.

Hello Isaac!

I just saw your picture in an article about the Peace Club! How wonderful and exciting! After I saw your picture I spoke to my friend, Sharon, and she told me that you are doing SO well! I am proud of you Isaac and I hope that you are proud of yourself as well.
I will not be traveling to Kenya this summer but I hope to visit next summer. It seems so far away. I would love to meet you in person!
We (my children and I) are on a school break for the summer now. I am an art teacher so I have the same break as my children.
Isaac, I know you will continue to grow and learn. You have come so far! Be well. Be safe. Keep up the good work!

Hi Nicole.
I am fine. The holiday has been fine and a busy one. I helped my guardians in farm activities and house hold chores.

We are resuming our school tomorrow for the second term. I am planning to work hard and smart so as to reduce the pile of work for third term because my duration is expiring.

If I can recall it is like you told me that you will be visiting Kenya in June. If you will I am looking forward to meeting you.
Thanks for your support. May God bless you all.
Good bye!

Your friend,
Isaac N.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.

Notable experiences in my life are, first, passing my standard seven examination and, second, entering secondary school. My most difficult experience was when I started to learn English. I have learned that if you want to do something, you have to work hard. I felt proud was when I entered secondary school. My most memorable and happiest thoughts are from when I celebrated at my birthday party. My dream is to be an electrical engineer. I will get there through studying hard and doing well in science subjects. If I had the power to change my country, I would like to improve the electricity supply especially in rural areas because there are shortages of electric power.

The experience that I had early in life was to score good marks in my class, whereby I got good grades which encouraged me to study hard in class. The difficult experience that occurred in my life was an accident on my way back home. I learnt that I should not play again in bad areas. In my life I am proud of myself. I was getting low marks in class but now I have managed to improve a lot. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life is to play football. It exercises my body regularly and hence strengthens my body system. My dream is to become a mechanical engineer. The best way to reach it is through studying hard in school, in physics, mathematics and chemistry. If I had power in my country, I would change the education system of the country so that it helps graduates to depend more on self-employment.
