Sahra Hussein Dahir is an eighteen year old from Hargeisa, Somaliland. She has six siblings, and was raised solely by her mother when her father died. Sahra is entering her post-graduate year at Abaarso School of Science and Technology. In her spare time, she plays sports. Sahra is passionate about helping others. When asked what her favorite subject is, she enthusiastically says history. She says looking critically at the past is the key to better future. Sahra believes in the power of history, and wants to educate others on the topic. “I want to tell stories about the past to help people overcome problems,” she says. In the future, she wants to be a historian.
