About

Abdilahi is in his first year at Abaarso. He grew up in a house with two brothers and six sisters. His favorite subject at Abaarso is science, because he can see how it will help his future. He hopes to be a doctor, because he says that there are too many sick people in his country. Outside of class he plays basketball for fun, and spends his free time reading and doing homework.

For me, this term went well compared to my earlier terms. Though classes are now bit challenging I did manage to work hard and fully understand the lessons. I am passionate about learning, where I am always eager to learn new things and ideas which even do not relate to what we learn in school. However, this would not be possible if lacking some prominent people who always stand on my side and work on my successes and I am proud of them. I hope this year will end in its best and I am proud of you all.

Love!
Term one was so bad to me, because I did not make a great deal of efforts, and that things affected me so badly. During term one’s vacation I became isolated and think a lot about my school, myself, my future and my world and also my country. I realized that I am in fake live and not knowing the reason that I am in Abaarso. After that I apprehended the reason that I am in Abaarso and what I am supposed to do. I decided to not go below 3.70 and now I am at beginning of the second term and I am struggling to get higher GPA and reinforce the relationship between me and my teachers, so that I can succeed my goals straightforwardly and I will fulfill my decisions and what I determined. Education needs endurance and tolerating, because Somali people say, “No gain without pain.”
