Raymond,

Congratulations! Thank you for your note here and for all of your hard work - what a wonderful accomplishment. Thank you also for the volunteer work you are doing with younger students, you are an inspiration and we wish you all the very best as you move forward.

You can reach me at suzanne.laurie@me.com if you ever come to the west coast of Canada.

With much love,
Suzanne and Peter
Hi Raymond,

I heard about your success, I am so thrilled and I am in awe of you. The staff at Kenya Connect are beaming with pride of your accomplishment. So glad you will have some time home to help the local students, they will benefit greatly by you. Liam is just getting University acceptances now and will make a decision on where he will go next year in the next few months. Maggie is in her third year of college and Lily is in her third year of High School.

Keep in touch, I think eventually you can't use the school fund site to communicate with me. Anthony communicates with me through Linked In or you can email me at photographybyll@mac.com.

If you decide to come to the US, you can stay at my home during your breaks, you will start college the same time at Liam.

Take care and Congratulations! I am so very Happy for you! Love Laura
Hi Laura and Suzanne

It has been long since we last communicated.Am doing great.I recently completed my high school studies and got grade A- of 80 points out of possible 84.Thanks for your unwavering help.I am currently teaching as an assistant teacher at a primary school as way of giving back to the society and inspiring others.Am planning on applying for scholarships to study in U.S.A to pursue either medicine or computer science.Say hi to Liam and Maggie...May God bless you.See you soon...
Raymond,

I haven't heard from you forever. How are you doing? When are you finishing up? How is school going when is the big test to see if you get into University.

Do you still follow American Basketball? How is your family?

Let me know what is going on with you, I miss hearing from you. All my best, Laura
Raymond,

Exciting news! I am glad to hear that you are interested in continuing your studies and coming to the US. We live in Canada but travel to the US frequently. Please keep us posted on your progress!

Love,
Suzanne and Peter
This is just snow & ice at our local State park that is near our house.
This is our house while it is still snowing with our younger dog, Larry playing in the snow.
Here is Liam using our gas powered snow plow. We have a long driveway and using a shovel takes all day to do.
Hi Raymond,

So exciting that you are thinking about trying to go to university in the USA, I would be so thrilled if that happened, let me know if I can help you in any way. We just went on a college tour with my two youngest Liam & Lily. Liam only has a year and a half left of High School and he is doing well in school and testing well on his SAT's. SAT's is the test that American kids take to see what level of college they go to. Some colleges have harder academic standards and want to make sure that they get students that are bright enough to go to their schools. American kids tend to take the test 2-4 times and it is 3-4 hours long. They take the test over a 1 year period and study more in-between so that they give their best effort. We are enjoying a cold wet winter. There is promise of spring on the horizon, but it's been icy and some snow. How are your studies going? How is your family? I will send a snow picture in my next message. Keep up the good work Raymond, you have a bright future. Love, Laura

Hi Raymond,

It is an honour to help with your school this year and wonderful to meet you here in the journal. My husband Peter and I are from Canada and you may have met Peter already this spring when he was visiting.

My first job was in the airline business and I'm excited to hear that you would like to be a pilot. I saw your picture wearing the Emirates t-shirt. I have heard that they are an amazing airline but I have never flown them.

Keep up your great work with school and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Suzanne and Peter
Here is a picture of my kids at the beach. My youngest daughter Lily, went to Spain with me on that Pilgrimage. She is adopted from China. She is our athlete and she plays Field Hockey at High School and hopes to play in College, she is talented. Keep up the good work Raymond, enjoy your time at home. Love Laura

The experience that I had early in life was to score good marks in my class, whereby I got good grades which encouraged me to study hard in class. The difficult experience that occurred in my life was an accident on my way back home. I learnt that I should not play again in bad areas. In my life I am proud of myself. I was getting low marks in class but now I have managed to improve a lot. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life is to play football. It exercises my body regularly and hence strengthens my body system. My dream is to become a mechanical engineer. The best way to reach it is through studying hard in school, in physics, mathematics and chemistry. If I had power in my country, I would change the education system of the country so that it helps graduates to depend more on self-employment.

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
