Hi School Fund Students

Sorry it took me a while to write to you. For those of you who is receiving my journal the first time, let me introduce myself.

My name is Indy. I am currently living at the same town as Ms Judy. She and I went to high school together. I am so happy to have this opportunity to get to know you.

I used to work with computers for many many years. Do you like to use computers?

Yesterday I met with some of my old school friends for lunch. These are the friends I have for almost 50 years. We talked about our school days when we were 12 years old.
It brought many happy memories.

Do you enjoy your school? Now is the time to form good friendship with your classmates? What do you do with your classmates? Do you study together? Do you talk and share secrets? I know you have a lot of study to do. Hopefully you can find some time to do some fun stuff with your friends.

Please write back to let me know what interests you.

Until next time,
your friend,
Indy
Hi madam Ying,
Its my pleasure to write this journal to you today because i am going to write about one of the most important processes that take place in our bodies that is respiration,
By definition respiration is the biochemical process in which the cells of an organism obtain energy by combining oxygen and glucose resulting in the release of carbondioxide, water and ATP[the energy currency in cells]
Respiration process mainly takes place in the Mitochondria that is why it is called the power house of the cell, the mitochondria is folded so as to provide an increase in the locations where respiration takes place. These folds are scientifically refered to as cristae and the liquid contained in the mitochondria is called matrix.
Cellular respiration is the chemical process that generates most of the energy in the cell, supplying molecules needed to make the metabolic reactions run out.
The whole process of respiration is affected by many factors including: Temperature
concentration of carbondioxide
Age and
physical activity
That is all i wish to tell you about the above biochemical process
Be blessed

Hi madam Indy,
Hopefully you are fine and doing well with your everyday activities as for me i am perfectly fine, Today i want to share something new with you which is a little connected to my country, As you know that my country is aiming at growing into a middle status country therefore our president has decided to make our country an industrialized country so today i want to share my knowledge about industrialization with you,
By definition industrialization is an economic system which involves the development of industries in a country or region in a wide scale.
This system of production has arisen from steady development, study and use of scientific knowledge. it is based on the division of labor and on specialization and uses mechanical, chemical and power driven as well as organization and intellectual aids in production.
The primary objective of this method of organizing economic life which had its genesis in the mid eighteenth century has been to reduce the real cost per unit of producing goods and services.
Therefore Tanzania wants to grow economically not only by importing but also exporting goods.Though we want to be an industrialized country we wont forget our backbone which is agriculture as through it we can get different raw materials for the industries which in turn will make us grow economically worldwide.
Thats all i wish to tell you
Have a blessed saturday
ZUBEDA
Hi madam Karen,
How are you today? as for me i am perfectly fine.
Today i would like to share with you my knowledge about CITIZENSHIP,
citizenship is the state of being a member of a particular country, state or nation.
A person may be a citizen of a particular country through four different ways as listed below.
in the following types i will talk mainly of Tanzanian citizenship
Citizenship by birth
A person who is born in Tanzania by parents who are Tanzanian citizens is a citizen of Tanzania. This is citizenship by birth.
Citizenship by naturalization
Non citizens who wish to become Tanzanian citizens can apply to the ministry of Home Affairs publishers a notice in the newspaper bearing the photograph and name of the applicant. the notice informs the general public of the application and asks if any one objects to the applicant being granted citizenship. if there are no objections, the application is accepted and the person is granted citizenship.
but before all that a person must fulfill the conditions below
1.He or she must have lived in the country for at least five years
3.He or she must be 21 years old and above
4.He or she renounce his or her former citizenship
Citizenship by descent
This applies to:
a] a child who is born in Tanzania and one of his or her parent is a citizen of Tanzania
b] a person who is born outside Tanzania and one of his or her parent is a citizen of Tanzania. However such a person has to apply to the ministry of Home Affairs for confirmation of the citizenship
Citizenship by marriage
A foreign woman who marries a citizen of Tanzania may register for citizenship. this is citizenship by marriage.
this is all i wish to share with you
BEST WISHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ZUBEDA.
Hi TSF family,
Today i would like to share with you my knowledge about HUMAN RIGHTS,
human rights are basics that all human beings are entitled to and which nobody should interfere with. such rights include life, ownership of property, education, marriage, health care and housing. These rights are based on the United Nations Universal Declaration. In our country these rights have been included in the constitution.
These rights give the citizens liberty and equality. They also allow the citizen to participate in political and economic life of their communities or societies.
Basic needs are things which are essential for life. They include food, shelter and clothes. Human rights are related to the provision of basic needs. Human rights give people the opportunity to participate in social, political and economic activities that help them to meet their basic needs.
Protection of human rights means ensuring that humah rights are not abused.
The following are ways in which human rights are protected in Tanzania
1.The Tanzanian constitution includes a bill of rights
2.The government educates the public about their rights
3.Non government organizations educate the public about their rights.
Human rights have limitations. There is no absolute freedom. The main aim for setting boundaries within which human rights are exercised is to protect the interests of other people.
Abuse of human rights is the prevention of a person from enjoying his or her rights as outlined in the constitution.
Effects of human right abuse include conflicts in the society, oppression of the less fortunate members in the society and increased crime and poverty.
Be blessed

Hi madam Judy

How have you been lately?as for me i am perfectly fine.
Do you remember that just recently i wrote a journal to you about CHEMICAL REACTION and i told you that i will finish it on my next journal so here it is
I ended on the types of chemical reaction so here is the elaboration of each of them
DECOMPOSITION
Is a chemical reaction in which a compound breaks down into two or more simpler substance
e.g sodium carbonate is decomposed into carbondioxide and water
COMBINATION
Is a chemical reaction in which two or more substances combie to form a single new substance
This reaction is also called synthesis reaction
e.g sodium combines with chlorine to form sodium chloride(common salt)
DISPLACEMENT
Is a chemical reaction in which one element replaces a similar element in a compound
It is also called single replacement reaction and all group 1 metals undergo this reaction
e.g as magnesium reacts with copper nitrate it displaces copper from copper nitrate and form magnesium nitrate+copper
NEUTRALIZATION
This is a chemical reaction which involve mostly acids and bases as acids neutralize bases
e.g hydrogen ions react with hydroxide ions therefore the hydrogen ions will neutralize the hydroxide ions and the product will be water.
Thats all i wish to say
I hope you like it
Be blessed

Hi jonathan
Its my pleasure to see your journal today as i have been really desperate to see your journal in my page so as to know you better and share different ideas with you because i have seen your journal to many other people and honestly your journals are inspirational. So today as your journal suggests i will tell you about my favourate life wisdom quotes although they are short but i am sure you will appreciate them just like the way i do.
There are four of them that inspired me mostly
1.courage is not the absence of fear rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear
2.A boat does not sink because of the water around it but because of the water that gets into it
3.never let succes get into your head also never let failure get into your heart
4.it does not matter how you start a race but what matters is how you finish it
Hope you like aswell. And lastly but not least i would like you to explain to me more about yourself and your country in general and dont forget to write every important detail which you think i will need to know.
Just note if you have any questions about me just ask me and i will be glad to answer you.
May GOD guide you forever
Zubeda
Dear Students,

I love to collect wisdom from different sources that are meaningful to me.
Below are a few of my favorites that I would like to share with you:

1) When you master your emotions, you master your life
Anger. This is one emotion that is sure to pop up sometime during the day. How you deal with your anger says a lot about who you are as a person. How well do you manage your emotions? Do you have a harsh reaction if someone says something insulting to you? Anger can be a destructive emotion if not managed properly.

2) Respect other people’s opinions even when they differ from your own.

Conflict. It’s rare that two people agree on most topics. Conflict is everywhere. It happens at work, home, with family and friends. Disagreeing isn’t the problem (although most people think it is). The problem is not giving value to the opinions of others.

3) Experience The Joy Of Learning
Each time you learn something new you gain more knowledge and with more knowledge come more confidence. Learning helps us become more adaptable and flexible to new situations. Learning encourages us to be more creative and innovative in our thinking and we are therefore more comfortable with the unknown.
Reading books is a great way for us to learn. To fully embrace the joy of learning, never stop reading and searching for more knowledge.

4) Touch someone’s soul with your kindness
Random Acts of Kindness. It’s the little things in life that matter most. Hold a door, smile at people. Kindness does not cost much and it touches the soul of another person.

5) Speech is a powerful tool.
Your words. Watch your words carefully. They can be daggers or building blocks. You can crush the spirit of someone or make them feel like they can conquer the world. Taste your words before you spit them out. Words are your thoughts coming to life. It’s your choice.

What are your favorite quotes and wisdom to live by? I’d love to hear your thought on that.
Cheers,
Jonathan Gilbert

Hi madam Judy,
How are you? as for me i am perfectly fine. Today i would like to give you a highlight on something that i have learnt from the Rachel plus. It is about CHEMICAL REACTION
chemical reaction is a process which involves re-arrangement of molecular or ionic structure of substances as opposed to a change in physical form or nuclear reaction.
There are four types of chemical reactions including
Combination
Displacement
Neutralization and
Decomposition.
all this types of reaction differ from each other in one way or the other so in my next journal i will explain all this briefly.
I hope you learn from this little lesson
ZUBEDA
Hi madam Judy,
Hopefully you are fine and doing well as for me i am perfectly fine, Today i would like to share with you what i have learnt from Rachel plus this week. I learnt about sea breeze and land breeze so starting with LAND BREEZE
land breeze is the type of wind which blows from the land towards the sea where the land is cooler than the sea therefore the cool wind descends from the land to the sea causing the warm air in the sea to descend towards the land. Usually this breeze occurs during the day
SEA BREEZE
this is the type of wind that blows from the sea to the land where the sea is cooler than the land thus causing moist wind to descend towards the land as this happens the land is warmer than the sea so as the cool air descends to the land the warmer air descends to the sea. Usually this breeze occurs at night.
Hope you like it

Hello students,

I finally got back to the US last week.
It has been a very long trip to Tanzania this year total three weeks.

I was very happy to meet all of you and know everyone better.

My trip started from Karatu. I visited 5 schools in Karatu and I learn where do you go to school every day.

I am very happy to know all of you are doing well and every of you has a dream that you want to be successful one day. I encourage all of you to try your best to reach you own destination.

The get together was so well prepared and done by each of you. I am very happy to saw all your science presentations and poems you wrote to TSF and me. I will treasure them all my life.

I can say I am very proud to all of you. Keep up the good work I want to see each of you one day get to
good University/College to reach your own dream.

After Karatu, I went to ARUSHA attended the TED Global conference and visited couple schools in ARUSHA.
I enjoyed the TED conference this year. It was focused on the Africa, specially in agriculture, health and education.

Mr. Amos was a volunteer there, he had great experience being this Global conference and met people from around the world.
He had a life experience at the conference, where he was able to meet a group of bright inventive and talented group of people.

Later I went to Iringa. Iringa almost the second hometown for me. I have been there six times.
I visited all 8 schools in Iringa and meet all of you in person. I was very happy to meet you.

I had a great time at the get together party. All of you did a wonderful presentation. I am very happy to know all of you had fun that night.

My this year Tanzania trip was set MMM computer center for most of the 13 TSF schools.
At Iringa, We build total 5 new computer center in Iringa girls, Klerruu, Lugalo, Ebenezer, Miyomgoni and Update one MMM center at Ummusalama. We build one new computer center at Karatu Secondary School and update one MMM center at Ganako.

I am very proud of building the MMM computer center in most of the TSF schools. I really want all of you to go to the computer center to learn every subject you are interested from the RACHEL PLUS.
In the future everyone work will be on the computer. I hope that every single of you tell me what do you learn from the RACHEL PLUS.
I would like you could to start the debate team in your school so you all could practice how to speak in the public. Have the Math Club and challenge each other on the Math.

They will all benefit your long-term confidence.

I hope I will hear from all of you soon.
Hi madam Karen,
How are you? As for me I am perfectly fine. Today I would like to share with you my knowledge about gaseous exchange.
Gaseous exchange is the movement of oxygen and carbondioxide across the respiratory surface. Gaseous exchange occurs as a result of inhalation and exhalation whereby inhalation means taking in of air and exhalation means taking out of air. During inhalation the external intercoastal muscles contract and the internal relax, the diaphragm muscles contract pulling the diaphragm downward, the volume of the thoracic cavity increases and the pressure decreases, the ribcage is lifted outward and upward and this allows air to get into the lungs.
During exhalation
The external intercoastal muscles relax and the internal contract, the diaphragm muscles relax pulling the diaphragm upward, the volume of the thoracic cavity decreases and the pressure increases and this allows air to be exhaled
That's all about gaseous exchange I hope you like it
Be blessed

The experience that I had early in life was to score good marks in my class, whereby I got good grades which encouraged me to study hard in class. The difficult experience that occurred in my life was an accident on my way back home. I learnt that I should not play again in bad areas. In my life I am proud of myself. I was getting low marks in class but now I have managed to improve a lot. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life is to play football. It exercises my body regularly and hence strengthens my body system. My dream is to become a mechanical engineer. The best way to reach it is through studying hard in school, in physics, mathematics and chemistry. If I had power in my country, I would change the education system of the country so that it helps graduates to depend more on self-employment.

I have experience planting vegetables because my parents do that. Also, we have a garden at our home. Therefore, that is experience I have had in life. Apart from that experience, I also had a difficult experience when I failed my geography exam. That enabled me to learn how to cooperate with other students. I was so proud of myself when I performed well in my national exam. The memorable and happiest moment in my life will be when I reach my dream of being pilot. I will be so happy. My biggest dream is to be a pilot. I will get there through studying hard in physics, geography, and mathematics. After reaching my dream, I will help my parents to modify their cultivation system and to become professional farmers. From there they can expand the area of cultivation into a large plantation. Once I get a chance to have the power to change my country, I will build many airports in each region and some districts. This will help in the flexibility of transportation in my country.

Experiences in my life are when I failed my examination during primary education and also when my parents failed to pay food for me. My difficult experiences in my life are when my parents have insufficient enough money to pay for all my basic needs at school such as food and other school contributions. The thing that makes me feel so proud of myself is when I succeeded in joining O-level education. This makes me feel that I will, I must, I can do everything. The most memorable and happiest thing in my life will be to reach my dream of being a doctor general so as I can help other people in society. My future dream is to be a GOOD surgical doctor. After me reaching my dream, I will give back help to my society and family, but also to WEF. I need to work hard upon reaching my dream in my life. Once I get chance to have power of changing anything in country, I will improve the education system by converting science subjects from theory to practical. In most of our schools, they teach science subjects mostly theoretically. I will start from there because as we know education is the key to every success in our people.
